Hyung Ryu, M.D.

Hyung S. Ryu, M.D., FACOG, is a highly skilled, Board Certified surgeon in the treatment of ovarian, cervical and uterine cancers at The Gynecologic Oncology Center at Mercy, one of Baltimore's leading centers in gynecologic cancers. He has advanced training in da Vinci robotic surgery, laparoscopic surgery, and traditional invasive surgery and customizes his treatment to each patient while helping to restore her hope for the future. 

Research and Expertise in Gynecologic Cancers

Dr. Hyung Ryu actively conducts research in evolving techniques in surgery and effective options in chemotherapy regimens to help improve outcomes for patients diagnosed with female gynecologic cancers. He has lectured on a variety of topics in his field and has published research in gynecologic oncology.

Dr. Ryu also is an expert in gestational trophoblastic disease, a rare complication of the placenta during pregnancy. His extensive research in this field makes Dr. Ryu uniquely qualified to treat this gynecologic disease.
