The Center for Advanced Fetal Care at MercyThe Center for Advanced Fetal Care at Mercy provides comprehensive maternal fetal health services for high-risk pregnancy patients. From diagnosis and counseling through treatment and follow-up, the clinical team provides the support needed at every phase of care. Mothers-to-be are counseled regarding weight problems, high blood pressure, predisposing factors that could lead to early labor and other health issues that may affect pregnancy. Mercy's Labor and Delivery UnitThe Labor and Delivery Unit provides exceptional care to laboring mothers and their families in our 11 well-appointed LDRs (Labor, Delivery, Recovery rooms) as well as high risk care in our 4 Antepartum rooms. From a birth center-like atmosphere complete with mirrors, birth balls, and Jacuzzi tubs for water births, to the best available technology, including 2 operating rooms, the staff strives to cater to the individual needs of each family. Comprised of registered nurses, OB technicians, patient service representatives, midwives, and physicians, the L&D staff are well-trained in techniques to promote comprehensive care, ensure patient safety and enhance positive outcomes. Mercy’s Mother Baby UnitFocusing on family-centered care, Mercy's Mother Baby Unit offers 26 private rooms with amazing views. Our Unit provides a warm and inviting setting for mothers, their newborn and visiting family members. Our patients enjoy comfortable beds and newly renovated bathrooms with detachable shower heads and shower chairs. A sleep chair is provided for your significant other. We practice couplet care as babies “Room In” with mom to facilitate bonding however, a respite nursery is always staffed if mom needs to rest. The Mother Baby team consists of registered nurses, nursing support technicians, patient services representatives, certified lactation consultants, social workers and pediatric nurse practitioners, all working in concert to achieve clinical excellence. |
