The Tyanna O’Brien Center for Women’s Imaging at Mercy provides clinically excellent, state-of-the-art breast imaging and diagnosis in a compassionate and caring environment, in the tradition of the Sisters of Mercy.

The Center for Women's Imaging is fully accredited as a “Breast Center of Excellence” by the American College of Radiology and offers leading-edge breast cancer detection technology, including:

All digital mammography (for screening and diagnosis)
Breast ultrasound, including elastography
Image-guided minimally invasive breast biopsies including ultrasound-guided biopsy, stereotactic breast biopsy, ultrasound-guided fine needle aspiration
Image-guided needle localization procedures (mammography, ultrasound, MRI-guided)
Screening and diagnostic breast MRI with computer-aided detection
MRI-guided biopsies

A Clinical Team Specializing in Women's Imaging

Distinguished by our dedicated breast imaging physicians, The Center for Women's Imaging has 2 radiologists who are completely devoted to only breast imaging. The physicians of The Center for Women's Imaging have nearly 50 years combined of experience. Multiple published studies have shown that mammography interpretations are most accurate when performed by radiologists who specialize in breast imaging.

All of the imaging studies at our Center are performed by highly-skilled and trained technologists who are dedicated solely to the field of breast imaging/women’s imaging. Our technologists are all registered in either mammography, ultrasound or MRI and have a special expertise at performing the exams and addressing specific patient concerns.

Multidisciplinary Care

The physicians of The Tyanna O'Brien Center for Women's Imaging work in concert with Mercy experts in breast surgery, medical oncology, radiation oncology and pathology to provide a multidisciplinary approach to the management of breast disease.
