Charles I. Shubin, M.D., FAAP, is an experienced pediatric doctor with Mercy Family Care Physicians in Baltimore, Maryland. A Board Certified pediatrician, Dr. Shubin focuses on the physical, emotional and social health of infants, children, adolescents and young adults. Dr. Shubin has served on the Governor’s Council on Child Abuse and Neglect and as chairman on the Governor’s Task Force on Child Abuse and Neglect. He is an Associate Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Maryland and is the Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at The Johns Hopkins University. Dr. Shubin’s past appointments include Chief of Pediatrics for the U.S. Public Health Service in Baltimore and Assistant Professor of Pediatrics/Medical Director, Comprehensive Child Care Clinic, at The Johns Hopkins University and Hospital.

Dr. Shubin is a recognized expert and has appeared on such national media outlets as ABC's Good Morning America, ABC's World News Tonight, the NBC Today Show, the national FOX Report, PBS, the Associated Press and many national parenting magazines, newspapers and journals. He is involved in teaching on various topics including General Pediatrics, Child Maltreatment and Managed Care as it relates to children and poverty.
