We know the importance of a mother’s touch and have created our facilities to support the bonding of mothers and babies. Our goal is to keep babies with their mothers through the entire birthing process whenever possible so bonding can take place immediately, even within in the case of C-section deliveries. When transferred to our Mother-Baby Unit, you will find a spacious suite with plenty of room for your baby to stay and greet family members and friends.
If your baby needs to be admitted to the NICU, the Mother-Baby Unit and NICU are on the same floor with private rooms for both mom and baby so moms have easy access to their new babies along with the privacy needed to bond.
The Family Childbirth & Children’s Center at Mercy is dedicated to offering new mothers leading edge care.
