Pediatrics Department at Mercy in Baltimore

Mercy Bunting Center

The Ronald Gutberlet, M.D., Department of Pediatrics includes Mercy’s inpatient Pediatric Unit, located in The Bunting Center, Mercy’s Main Hospital. Part of The Family Childbirth & Children’s Center at Mercy, the Unit features spacious rooms with thoughtful amenities and state-of-the-art technology to care for children of Baltimore families.

Pediatricians Offering Care in a Comfortable Hospital Setting

The Pediatric Unit has been designed with kids in mind – featuring large inpatient rooms fashioned in playful designs that make the hospital feel more friendly and home-like. Dedicated Mercy pediatricians treat children up to age 16 and bring a welcoming approach in the tradition of the Sisters of Mercy to provide compassionate care for children.

Family-Centered Care, Keeping Parents with Their Children

With the goal of reducing anxiety and improving recovery, our Pediatric Unit was designed to keep parents close to their children. The rooms include a sleep sofa, free WiFi and a private bathroom. Mercy provides breakfast, lunch and dinner to one visiting parent so they can remain with their child and take advantage of opportunities to get to know their child’s pediatrician and hospital care team.
