Heat It To Beat It, is a walk to raise awareness and funds for HIPEC surgery research and education to treat peritoneal carcinomatosis (PC), a common and complex presentation of a variety of cancers of the abdominal cavity.

Since its inception in 2010, Heat It To Beat It has raised over $870,000 to support research led by Dr. Armando Sardi, Director of The Institute for Cancer Care at Mercy Medical Center, and his colleague Dr. Vadim Gushchin.

BRAnanza is an innovative display of artistically-designed bras. The event supports The Fund for Excellence in Women’s Health and Medicine.

Beyond the visual creativity of each bra is a story. Most inspiration evolves from an experience or is a dedication. The compelling designs and inspiring stories combine to create a very special event.

NEXT: BreastFest ›

BreastFest is The Tyanna Foundation’s signature event that invites us to celebrate life, celebrate survivors and remember those we have lost to breast cancer.

A 100% volunteer organization, The Tyanna Foundation gets its name from Tyanna Barre O’Brien who lost her battle with breast cancer at the age of 48. Through the work of her five daughters - Anne, Bridget, Megan, Sara, and Katie - Tyanna’s legacy lives on.

Mercy's Tyanna O'Brien Center for Women's Imaging was named in remembrance of Tyanna O'Brien and in support of the tireless work her daughters do to raise awareness of breast cancer.

The Tyanna Foundation has donated more than $1.5 million dollars to The Hoffberger Breast Center at Mercy to provide critical support services and treatment devices for those going through treatment.

There are two events benefiting Mercy each year – BreastFest Baltimore and BreastFest Dewey Beach

Events Organized by Others to Benefit Mercy

A number of organizations hold events to benefit Mercy Medical Center. Examples include:

  • The Porsche Club of America, Chesapeake Region, donated proceeds from a silent auction held at its annual “Chesapeake Challenge” to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Mercy. These funds support the annual NICU reunion and other special needs of Mercy’s tiniest patients.
  • The Painted Pallet in Mt. Washington dedicated its first “Paint What You Love” event to Mercy Medical Center. Funds raised at the event benefited The Fund for Excellence in Women’s Health and Medicine.

We ask that individuals and organizations interested in raising money for Mercy please work with us in advance. Fill out our third party fundraising form or contact us to see how we can help.
