Surgeons of Mercy’s Institute for Foot and Ankle Reconstruction Participate in Cutting Edge Clinical Education Course
Mercy Orthopedic Surgeon Dr. Rebecca Cerrato Served as Course Chairperson
Mercy Medical Center’s Dr. Rebecca Cerrato of The Institute for Foot and Ankle Reconstruction at Mercy served as chairperson for the Advanced Masters Foot and Ankle Arthroscopy Course and Basic Minimally Invasive Percutaneous Course held at the VISTA Labs on North Charles Street in Baltimore, October 28-30, 2016.
The 3-day course combined advanced arthroscopic techniques and an introduction to percutaneous MIS surgery. The course offered didactic and hands-on cadaver labs with leading faculty in this field.
“This course was initially developed and organized by Dr. Cerrato three years ago. It annually hosts a prestigious international faculty of orthopaedic surgeons from the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, and France,” said Dr. Clifford Jeng, Medical Director of The Institute for Foot and Ankle Reconstruction at Mercy
The Institute’s Dr. John Campbell was also a member of the faculty that represents the leaders in the field of foot and ankle arthroscopy and minimally invasive surgery worldwide.
The course included instructional lectures as well as a hands-on surgical training using cadavers for the doctors attending. Participants traveled from as far as Italy, Spain, Israel, Lebanon, and Australia to attend the course.
