Safety Measures & Enhancements

Mercy Baltimore

Mercy’s physicians, nurses and staff are going above and beyond, implementing numerous safety measures to protect you and your family. The Baltimore community has trusted Mercy to provide quality health care since we opened our doors, nearly 150 years ago, and our work to serve our patients and their families continues.

We are working in close collaboration with government leaders and health officials. At this time, State and public health experts have determined that it is safe to resume non-urgent/elective surgeries and procedures at hospitals.

Mercy Medical Center meets all of the applicable conditions for resumption of non-urgent medical procedures in accordance with the Maryland Department of Health Order.

Our extensive safety measures and enhancements include:

Entry Screening - all patients and staff are carefully screened upon entry at all Mercy facilities, including temperature checks.

Hand Sanitizer - easily accessible upon entry and in all clinical areas.

Separate COVID-19 Clinics - any suspected COVID-19 patients are seen in separate facilities or treated in isolated areas.

Social Distancing - waiting rooms and lobby areas have been re-designed to ensure social distancing.

Universal Mask Policy - all patients and staff are required to wear masks at all times.

Enhanced Cleaning - frequent cleaning and sanitizing of all clinical and high-traffic areas.

Thank you for trusting Mercy to provide you with excellent clinical services within a community of compassionate care. If you need additional information about visiting Mercy or have questions about your care, please call your physician's office directly.
