On-site Women’s Boutique for Wellness Products and Gifts

The Weinberg Center for Women’s Health and Medicine at Mercy houses a Women’s Boutique dedicated to providing women with mastectomy products, compression garments, wig services, swimwear, specialty clothing, jewelry and more. The Women’s Boutique is owned and operated by Elisa Lawson and daughter Jennifer Crawford. As prosthesis specialists, their team works closely with the physicians and staff of The Hoffberger Breast Center at Mercy and all departments to accommodate the needs of their breast cancer pre- and post-surgery patients. They welcome and care for women every step of their journey based on their individual needs, developing life-long relationships and services.

Women's Health Boutique Offerings

The Women’s Health Boutique participates with most insurance companies and provides:

• Breast Forms - personally fitted for your comfort, striving for a natural feel and look
  • Partial—used for lumpectomy surgery and asymmetry due to reconstruction
  • Temporary—a soft form worn during recovery and for leisure wear comfort
  • Traditional Silicone—weighted for balance
  • Custom—software scan of the torso to create a custom designed breast form with maximum symmetry and a most natural appearance and feel
    
    
• Post-mastectomy Bras and Camisoles - The Boutique carries a full range of styles and sizes for post-surgery patients. The selections stay current and fresh offering the most innovative and comfortable products. The staff will carefully fit and accommodate your individual needs.
  
  
• Mastectomy Swimwear - The Boutique offers a spirited collection of swimwear and cover-ups designed specifically for women after breast surgery. These suits offer more coverage where you want it most with higher necklines and armhole openings. Empire stitches in the bra pocket keep a breast form securely in place.
  
  
• Compression for Lymphedema - The Boutique carries a full line of the highest quality compression bras for breast lymphedema. They carry sleeves and gauntlets for preventive and early stage lymphedema.
  
  
• Lymph Friendly Garments - The Boutique carries a full line of Amoena's Lymph Friendly Collection which is a series of bras and tank tops that provide light massage.
  
  
• Surgical Garments and Compression - The Boutique has a full line if medial grade compression garments to wear following surgery to reduce swelling, support drains and promote healing. They carry both upper and lower extremity pieces as well as a full line of Spanx products.

• Wig Services - The Boutique houses a full service wig studio offering a private space for consultations and hair replacement services that feels welcoming, warm and truly special. The wig studio is named Katie's Corner, located within the boutique of the corner of the first floor. It was thoughtfully named and dedicated to Katie Krug Filling, a 10-year patient of Mercy who battled ovarian cancer with strength, compassion, courage and wit. She stands as an inspiration to all women that come to her corner for care.

• Specialty Clothing - The Boutique offers a unique selection of treatment friendly clothing that can be worn during chemotherapy and scans. They have sun safe clothing with UPF 50+ to provide layers to protect your skin from the sun when it's most sensitive. They have a selection of port access tops and empowerment shirts and hoodies.

• Skincare - The Boutique carries a full line of Goat Milk Bath and Body Products as well as all-natural crystal deodorants.

• Gifts - Whether you are treating yourself or a loved one, the boutique offers jewelry, candles, bags and other fun finds.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to make an appointment?
The Boutique accepts walk-ins from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday for surgical, compression and mastectomy products and fittings. Katie's Corner Wig Studio is by appointment only.

Will my insurance pay for my post-mastectomy needs?
By law, insurance companies must allow you a breast form following surgery. Most insurance companies will cover compression with a lymphedema diagnosis and proper documentation. For wig services, you will be provided a detailed receipt to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. All benefits will be discussed with you at the time of service so that you are comfortable with what you are purchasing.

What do I need to bring to my visit?
You will need your insurance cards if you'd like items billed to your carrier. You will also need a current prescription for products.
