Armando Sardi, M.D.
Dr. Armando Sardi is a respected and world renowned surgical oncologist at Mercy Medical Center in Baltimore, Maryland. After decades of performing life-prolonging Hyperthermic Intraperitoneal Chemotherapy (HIPEC) surgery, he has saved hundreds of lives and devoted his entire career to bringing hope to patients with a cancer diagnosis. Energized by this driving ambition to save lives, Dr. Sardi leads multiple initiatives to improve care for cancer patients and radically reduce the impact of a cancer diagnosis.

Research - Transforming the Standard of Care
As an innovator of the life-saving HIPEC treatment, Dr. Sardi leads vital research initiatives, collaborating with institutions around the world to disrupt cancers and transform treatment as we know it today. Our research and leading edge clinical trials are supported through patient and donor funding, along with the funds raised from our annual Heat It to Beat It event, where patients and families from around the nation gather to celebrate survival. Dr. Sardi and his team work to advance research and raise awareness – aiming to increase survival and offering hope for patients and their families.
Education - Advancing New Perspectives
Education remains a key component of Dr. Sardi's approach to changing outcomes for cancer patients and opening access to resources to help with their diagnosis. In addition to authoring scientific publications, Dr. Sardi and his team present results at numerous national and international conferences as well as train other medical professionals around the world. Heightening awareness within the medical community and cultivating young medical talent contributes to earlier diagnoses and better clinical interventions. Committed to the highest quality of education for medical professionals and patients, Dr. Sardi continually invests in tools to affect change.
Cancer Care- Leaders in Prevention
In addition to his critical work in Baltimore where he and his medical team treat cancer patients from all around the United States, Dr. Sardi also leads Partners for Cancer Care and Prevention, a non-profit organization that has built a self-sustaining model for cancer care and prevention for the underserved. Originating in Cali, Colombia, this organization has created a model that has been replicated in other areas of the world. It is focused on helping women overcome social and economic barriers by improving access to high-quality screening and treatment for breast and cervical cancers.
Events in Support of Our Mission
We continue to host our annual Heat It to Beat It walk to support and raise awareness for HIPEC treatment, as well as Chipping for Cancer Care and Prevention, which supports Partners for Cancer Care and Prevention. Our events have been a great success thanks to our dedicated staff, generous supporters, and of course, our courageous patients and their families.
