BMI Over 35

If your BMI is higher than 35, bariatric surgery can be considered to help you lose a significant amount of weight. Learn about your weight loss options.

BMI 30.0 - 34.9

If your BMI is between 30.0 and 34.9, endoscopic sleeve gastroplasty may be an option for you. This outpatient procedure is a non-surgical weight loss solution that is performed by highly-trained GI endoscopy physicians at Mercy.

BMI 25.0 - 29.9

A BMI in this range is categorized as overweight. You may be able to manage your weight with lifestyle modifications. Mercy's licensed dietitians can help you develop a long-term plan for maintaining a healthy weight.

BMI Less Than 24.9

A BMI between 18.5 and 24.9 is considered to be typical and healthy. A BMI less than 18.5 is considered underweight and may warrant a physician consult to develop strategies to maintain a healthy weight.
