Blood Draw

Mercy provides convenient, on-site blood draw services, which allow doctors to obtain blood samples from patients for testing. To collect the blood sample, a technician will insert a needle into your arm and collect the blood into a vial. The vial will be sent to a lab for testing and the results will be shared with your doctor. Blood tests can help your doctor better understand your health status.

How are Blood Tests used?

Blood tests can help doctors diagnose or rule out specific conditions so that the most appropriate treatment plan is developed. Blood tests also are used to obtain baseline numbers or understand how well a condition is being managed. Blood tests may be performed in conjunction with other tests to provide a more complete picture of a patient’s condition and health.
