What does discharge from vaginal atrophy look like?

Vaginal atrophy is usually associated with decreased vaginal discharge related to a decreased estrogen state.  Sometimes, women can develop a thin, clear, odorless discharge.

In a woman with vaginismus, or vaginal pain with insertion, it may be helpful for the patient to place the vaginal probe into her vagina herself.  In addition, the use of lidocaine gel may also help with insertion. 

Can symptoms of ovarian cyst feel like PMS? 

Ovarian cysts can present with many different symptoms.  Sometimes women will experience lower pelvic cramping, sharp pain, or bloating.  Ovarian cysts can also be completely asymptomatic and found incidentally on exam or imaging studies.
