Ann Peters, M.D.

Ann Peters, M.D., MS, is an experienced, Board Certified gynecologist and surgeon in The Gynecology Center at Mercy Medical Center in Baltimore, Maryland. Dr. Peters is specially trained in the care of routine and complex gynecologic diagnoses. She focuses on the evaluation and treatment of a wide range of GYN conditions including: endometriosischronic pelvic pain, post-menopausal or uterine bleeding, and fibroids

Dr. Ann Peters comes to Mercy with first-hand experience from Magee-Womens Hospital at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center and is committed to improving women’s health. Dr. Peters’ patients appreciate that she is easy to talk to, and provides thorough explanations for their diagnosis and treatment.

Specialized Training in Minimally Invasive GYN Surgery

Dr. Peters has completed advanced Fellowship training to provide her patients with a minimally invasive gynecologic surgery choice, even for more complex gynecologic conditions. She specializes in laparoscopic surgery for the treatment of endometriosis and uterine fibroids.

She received several outstanding laparoendoscopic resident and teaching awards during her Residency and Fellowship training.

Active in Research & Physician Education

Dr. Ann Peters is actively involved in clinical research and training in gynecologic surgery. Dr. Peters’ research accomplishments include publications in several major GYN journals, including the American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology and the Journal of Minimally Invasive Gynecology. She has presented various gynecologic surgery abstracts at meetings and conferences across the country. Dr. Peters also has served as a Clinical Instructor in Gynecology and Reproductive Sciences and educated numerous young physicians in their residency and medical school training.  

Gynecologist in Baltimore and Columbia 

Dr. Peters sees patients Downtown at Mercy and at the Mercy Personal Physicians site in Columbia. She performs patient surgeries at Mercy Medical Center in Downtown Baltimore.

Dr. Peters provides routine gynecologic care through a collaborative approach with her Certified Nurse Practitioner. Well-woman care can be scheduled directly with Kathryn Cervi, CRNP.
