Raymond K. Cross, Jr., M.D., MS, AGAF, FACG, is Medical Director of The Center for Inflammatory Bowel and Colorectal Diseases, part of The Melissa L. Posner Institute for Digestive Health & Liver Disease at Mercy in Baltimore, Maryland. Dr. Cross is a Board Certified gastroenterologist, specializing in the evaluation and treatment of patients with inflammatory bowel diseases, infectious colitis, celiac disease and chronic diarrhea.

Dr. Cross has dedicated his career to advancing the care of patients with acute and chronic bowel diseases. He utilizes his extensive clinical knowledge, experience and advanced skills to diagnose complex conditions and develop tailored treatment plans that help patients manage symptoms and disease for better outcomes.

Dr. Cross has numerous honors and awards to his credit, including Top Doctor in the specialty of Inflammatory Bowel Disease by Baltimore magazine. He has published over 200 peer-reviewed manuscripts, review articles and book chapters, and has obtained research funding from the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality, the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation and the American College of Gastroenterology.
Dr. Cross is past Chair of the Patient Education and Clinical Research Committees and Clinical Research Alliance for the Foundation. He is currently the Research and Investigator Lead for SPARC IBD and is the Scientific Co-Director of the CorEvitas Registry. He is a member of the American College of Gastroenterology's Board of Governors and Research Committee, Senior Associate Editor of the American Journal of Gastroenterology and Course Director for the American College of Gastroenterology's Eastern Regional Course.
