As part of Mercy Medical Center’s ongoing efforts to bring the 144-year Sisters of Mercy tradition of quality health care to increasing numbers throughout the region, Mercy has announced the opening of The Neil B. Rosenshein, M.D., Institute for Gynecologic Care at Annapolis, located at 888 Bestgate Road, Suite 208, in Annapolis, MD.

The new 2,867 square foot facility reflects an expansion of Mercy’s Gynecologic Oncology Collaborative, a statewide network providing patients with renowned gynecologic cancer care, explained Dwight D. Im, M.D., FACOG, Medical Director of the Collaborative. Dr. Im also leads Mercy’s Neil B. Rosenshein, M.D., Institute for Gynecologic Care, The Gynecologic Oncology Center, and The National Institute of Robotic Surgery.

Established more than a decade ago, The Collaborative addresses treatment for ovarian, uterine and cervical cancer at locations throughout the mid-Atlantic region, including the Calvert Health Medical Center, Mercy Personal Physicians at Lutherville, Meritus Medical Center, Peninsula Regional Medical Center, St. Agnes Hospital, St. Joseph Medical Center, WVU Medicine Berkeley Medical Center, and now, in Annapolis.

"The surgeons of The Gynecologic Oncology Collaborative routinely travel across the state so women diagnosed with GYN cancer can be treated at a hospital or in a doctor’s office close to where they live and work,” Dr. Im said. Mercy gynecologic oncologists Drs. Dwight Im, Neil B. Rosenshein, Teresa Diaz-Montes and Hyung S. Ryu will all see patients at the Annapolis location. The site will include four exam rooms and will be fully staffed.

"2019 marks the 25th anniversary of the founding of Mercy’s nationally acclaimed Weinberg Center for Women’s Health and Medicine. Mercy’s leadership in women’s health is reflected by efforts like this, to bring top rated GYN and related cancer care to women throughout the region,” Dr. Im said.
