Mercy recognizes the need for a healthy work and lifestyle balance. Residency duty hours are closely monitored and strictly adhered to. Salary is commensurate with the University of Maryland and is competitive with other training programs in Baltimore. Additionally, Mercy provides meal stipends and free covered parking. Group life insurance and disability insurance is standard and medical and dental insurance are available for a nominal fee. A resident-only area of quiet call rooms, private bathrooms, and a spacious lounge with stocked food is centrally located within the hospital.
