Blaine S. Kristo, M.D., is Medical Director of The Urology Specialists of Maryland at Mercy Medical Center in Baltimore, Maryland. Dr. Kristo is Board Certified in Urology and offers treatment for general urologic conditions including kidney stones and urinary incontinence as well as urologic cancer including prostate, bladder and kidney.

Committed Urologic Education and Experience

Following undergraduate education at Johns Hopkins University, Dr. Kristo received his medical degree at The University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine. He completed his General Surgery internship and his Urology residency at the University of California, Los Angeles Medical Center. During his time in medical school, Dr. Kristo was a two-time recipient of the National Institutes of Health Summer Research Award. He is the author of numerous published articles on such topics as complex urologic conditions and innovative surgical treatment options.

Dr. Blaine Kristo is a highly skilled surgeon and an advanced specialist in minimally invasive treatment options. Prior to his role at Mercy Medical Center, Dr. Kristo was instrumental in developing and directing the robotic surgery program at Hawaii Permanente Medical Group. Now in Baltimore, Dr. Kristo offers advanced expertise in this minimally invasive surgical technique using the da Vinci® surgical system.
