Mercy Neurologists Dr. Bonnie Gerecke and Dr. Jason Rosenberg Appear on Mercy’s Medoscopy Series
February 11, 2025

Bonnie J. Gerecke, M.D., director of The Neurology Center at Mercy Medical Center, as well as chief of neurology and medical director of rehabilitation at Mercy, and Jason Rosenberg, M.D., board-certified neurologist at Mercy, are guests of Mercy Medical Center’s ongoing talk show series, Medoscopy, airing on Facebook Watch, Wed.–Thurs., Feb. 19th and 20th, 2025, at 5:30 p.m. EST (www.facebook.com/MercyMedicalCenter).
A 30-minute, pre-taped program that explores the background and lives of Mercy clinicians, patients and others, Medoscopy was launched in spring 2021 and airs in two 15-minute segments. To view past episodes, visit the Medoscopy playlist on the Mercy Medical Center YouTube channel.
In this latest installment, Dr. Gerecke discusses her work in the treatment of neuromuscular disorders like myasthenia gravis, neuropathy and carpal tunnel syndrome. She is one of a few trained and experienced neurologists board certified in a less common neurology subspecialty known as neuromuscular medicine.
Dr. Rosenberg, who holds a specialty certification in headache medicine, discusses the reasons for reports indicating a lag of as many as five years between diagnosis and treatment of chronic headache or migraine. He also explains the connection between psychiatry and neurology.
Later in the program, Dr. Gerecke explores her daughter’s volunteer efforts with Becca’s Closet, a nonprofit organization that donates prom and homecoming dresses to girls in financial need, while serving as a legacy to Rebecca Kirtman. Dr. Rosenberg revealed his interest in biology and herpetology (the scientific study of reptiles and amphibians), discussing frogs found in Maryland, including spring peepers (Pseudacris crucifer) and gray treefrogs (Hyla versicolor).
Medoscopy is filmed on the campus of Mercy Medical Center in downtown Baltimore with video, sound and lighting by Zinnia Film.
